Gea Tanja Rusjan was born on 21st November, 1969 in Slovenia.  She studied Fashion Design at the Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana. In 2005 she finished specialization at the Italian National Institute of Ceramic Art "G. Ballardini" in Faenza. She graduated from the Department of New language of painting from the “Academy of Fine Arts” in Catania. Her work involves ceramics, graphics, photography, video and sculptures. She lives and works in Kozana and she has a ceramics shop gallery in Šmartno (Goriška Brda).
